  • Standard - Double Jaw
  • 15 - 18 Inch Tall

Fifth-wheel trailer hitch provides excellent jaw-to-king-pin contact with a 2-jaw latching system. Non-binding, round-tube slider helps to eliminate clearance concerns during slow-speed turns. Rails and installation kit included.

Features:

  • 2-Jaw locking system provides more jaw-to-king-pin contact than slide-bar models
    • Less rattle
    • Greater security
  • Round-tube slider provides clearance required for your short-bed pickup to turn safely at slow speeds
    • Prevents trailer from hitting the cab of your pickup during sharp, slow-speed turns
    • Inhibits binding and provides smooth operation
  • 4-Way pivoting head eases hookup on unlevel ground
  • 3" Height adjustment
  • Wide stance offers excellent stability
  • Black powder coat finish resists corrosion
  • Locking handle has cushioned grip
  • Above-bed rails and custom-fit mounting kit included

Specs:

  • Gross towing weight: 16,000 lbs
  • Vertical load limit: 4,000 lbs
  • Installed hitch height (including rails): 15" - 18"
  • Travel: 11" front to back
  • 5-Year limited warranty

Note: This fifth-wheel trailer hitch will not fit pickups with beds shorter than 6'. It also will not fit trucks with flareside/stepside bed. A minimum 13" extended trailer pin box is recommended.

Reese Double Jaw

Secure, 2-Piece Jaw

Unlike the more economical slide-bar models, the rounded, 2-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Round-Tube Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

Video Transcript for Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit RP30153 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Reese 10 Bolt Extended Length Outboard Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. Now, these base rails will install in your truck bed and they provide necessary attaching points for a 5th wheel trailer hitch. The base rails included in this kit feature a standard 10 bolt design. Basically, each of these rails will attach to the underbed brackets with two carriage bolts at both ends, and then a single bolt is used in the center of each rail to further secure it to your truck bed. The result is you get a set of base rails that'll remain firmly in place, thanks to 10 points of contact. These rails are 48" long above-bed rails, make for a nice fast, simple installation when these are used with the Reese custom outboard brackets that we do sell separately on our website. Now, the outboard brackets are required for installation of these rails. They will not work with your standard 5th wheel installation brackets, and I do want to show you one of the outboard brackets that we sell.

They'll vary for each vehicle, so you got to get the one correct for your vehicle, but this is an outdoor bracket. Basically, this will mount to the outside of the frame rail, and you notice the bracket extends outward so it allows you to install these extended length base rails. The extended length base rails allow you to mount . allow your mounting further out from the truck frame, and this will avoid underbed components for easier access. This part includes everything shown here on the table: the grade-8 hardware with the necessary spacers are included to install it, it gives you a nice set of detailed instructions. These rails are compatible with Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley Brands, and most standard 5th wheel hitches.

They're a sturdy steel construction. Has a nice black powder coat finish to them to help resist corrosion.A few specs on them: the dimensions is 48" long and the total height is 1-7/8" tall. But that should do it for the review on the Reese 10 Bolt Extended Length Outboard Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches.

  • Recommended 5th Wheel Base Rails for a 2024 Ford F-350
Hey Cory, for your 2024 Ford F-350 short bed crew cab you can use the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP65VR. This kit will work with both the long bed and short bed models, will require no drilling because it's custom fit to your frame, and will also work with the 2023 model year.

  • Recommended 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Hitch for a 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Hey Dan, so we do have the Andersen Ultimate # AM3200 but it's mounts to a set of 5th wheel rails # RP65VR to provide you with a Gooseneck attachment. I'm not entirely sure if that's what you're looking for but that's what it is. There is also the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BW83FR which is a Gooseneck hitch that can be also used with the B&W Companion # BWRVK3400-5W 5th wheel hitch. Both of these will work with a 6 3/4' bed. Also,...

The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BW73FR will fit your 2023 Ford F-350. However, this is designed to be used with the Companion # BWRVK3500-5W or # BWRVK3400-5W. The square hole for the gooseneck ball is the installation point for the Companion 5th wheel hitch. Based on your measurement it sounds like your Reese 5th wheel hitch was designed for the Chevy/GMC puck system which measures 22-3/8" x 13". Although there isn't a direct adapter to allow this to fit other...

Yes, they will! I checked with Draw-Tite and their Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails item # RP65VR fits all models of the 2024 Ford F-350 including the duallys. These are industry standard which means they are compatible with most 5th wheel hitches on the market. The brackets are custom fit and install in pre-existing holes in your F-350's frame.

The 2018 Highland Ridge Open Range Light lf318rls has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 9,995 lbs and an unloaded weight of 7,895 lbs. In the video I've attached below you can see Jeff lock the jaws open around the 3 minute mark. Nice truck! I hope you enjoy your road trips. We do not offer any auto-slider 5th wheel hitches but we do have many standard sliding hitch options from Pro Series, Reese and B&W. Even better, since your truck has the factory prep package you have the option to use a fixed hitch like B&W # BWRVK3600 along with a Sidewinder replacement pin box. This hitch fits right into your factory pucks. This type of set-up provides much better turning clearance than any slider. This is the case because...

A goose neck hitch ball, or the center of a 5th wheel hitch head for that matter, will be located either right over the rear axle or an inch or so forward of it.
