Is a Longer Pin Box Available for a 5th Wheel Trailer with Lippert 1116 Pin Box

Question:

I have a lipp1116 pin box. the length from rear to center of pin is 24 inches. I would like to buy a 36 inch pin box. Is there any way short of a sidewinder or a pin box entender. I tow with a short bed Dodge 3500 and at times my turns are borderline. Thanks.. I bought my hitch from etrailer and am very happy with it

The replacement pin boxes that we carry are roughly the same dimensions as the pin boxes they are made to replace and would not provide you the additional 12 inches you are looking for. In order to get the length you need I do recommend a Sidewinder.

For a Lippert 1116 pin box you can use:

16K Air ride Sidewinder, # RP61412

One thing that I noticed was that you have Pro Series hitch # PS30132 which is a fixed hitch. On a short bed truck, you should be using a slider hitch such as # RP30075. It can slide back 11 inches so making tight turns is not going to be an issue.
