Comparing Reese Titan 16k Slider Hitch and Curt A16 Roller Hitch
Updated 03/28/2018 | Published 03/27/2018 >
Question:
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a short bed. I was wondering which slider hitch might be better, problems you have encountered with each or that forced a return of one brand over the other, and which might have better/more features. I was comparing the Reese Titan 16K part # RP30869 verse the Curt A16 part #C16521 Thanks in advance

We don't see that many issues with the fifth wheel hitches we carry, but there for a while we would occasionally see Curt fifth wheel hitches with jaw and head issues that would need warranty work. The A series of hitches like the A16 part # C16521 that you referenced it was supposed to have addressed all those problems and since then we have not had the same issues at all.
I really like the Reese part # RP30075 that you referenced. The slider has a wider round tube that operates very smoothly and the jaws of the hitch do a great job securing the king pin tightly to prevent any unwanted movement. This would be my first choice.
