Converting Reese 16K Round Tube Slider Hitch to Stationary Base
Published 02/19/2015 >
Question:
I have a Reece 16K round slider hitch that I purchased in 2011. I have only used the sliding feature on it once and that was just to play with it. It is extremely heavy to take out of my truck in the winter. Can I replace the sliding mechanism with the RP30727 legs and thus lighten the weight of the hitch and make it stationary?

If your Reese 16K slider hitch is part # RP30075 then you can indeed use fixed leg kit # RP30727 to convert it to a stationary hitch and save a bit of weight.
If you have the Reese Titan series 16K hitch RP30869 then the correct fixed leg kit is part # RP58449.
I confirmed the compatibility of these two kits with the above-referenced hitches with my technical contact at Reese.
