I am installing a Roadmaster Tow Defender part #4700 will the #RM-071-75 hitch extenter be adequate for my installation?

As long as the combined weight of the Tow Defender # RM-4700 and the tongue weight applied to the hitch from the tow bar when the vehicle is coupled is less than 100 pounds, then yes, you can use the extender # RM-071-75 with the Tow Defender.

The Tow Defender weighs about 20 pounds. This means that the vertical weight applied from the vehicle at the point where the tow bar connects to the extender cannot be more than 80 pounds.

I recommend an extender that is rated higher such as Blue Ox extension # BX88264. It has 1,000 pounds tongue weight capacity so it would not be a problem.
