Question:

Why are the pintle hitches different designs? Specifically C45922 and C45908. All I need is the pintle hitch, not the receiver. Can I order the one from C45908 by itself?

Hey Brent, I have no idea why there are different pintle hitch designs. I do know that Curt changed the pintle mount attachment that comes with the 20,000 lbs Curt Pintle Hook item # C45908. It now comes with the Curt Pintle Hook with 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - Channel Mount item # C45922 you were looking at. The item # C45920 pictured with the item # C45908 ball mount is only rated for 13,000 lbs. You can purchase both separately. I posted some pics below of both pintle hooks. They're labeled based off of their capacity.

What ball mount are you going to be using the Curt Pintle Hook item # C45922 with?
