Question:

Hi there, I am looking at purchasing a trailer hitch. Ive used e-trailers in the past and loved the convenience. However, I am having a little bit of trouble confirming which trailer hitch I can purchase because my vehicle is not listed. When I search for 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrids not the plug-in hybrid. I dont see it as a listed model. I understand there hasnt been any updates to the RAV4 so likely prior year models will fit. However, I just wanted to confirm this. Pasted below is my exact vehicle. 2025 Toyota RAV4 XLE Sport Utility 2.5L I4 Gas/Electric Hybrid AWD Please confirm whether I should be looking at the 2025 Toyota RAV4 or the 2025 Toyota RAV4 PHEV model for the correct fitment of the trailer hitch I would need. Hey Jason, welcome back. For a 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, I recommend the TowSmart Trailer Hitch item # TS42VR. This class III hitch with a 2" receiver is custom fit and is compatible with all models of the 2025 RAV4 including the hybrid and PHEV.

I really like the TowSmart item # TS42VR because the only portion of the hitch visible is the 2" receiver. The crosstube installs behind the rear bumper so you don't see it.

I’m thinking of buying a 2026 Rav 4 plug in hybrid. Does that hitch work and how low is it down from the bumper? (I have a steep driveway that flattens out at the bottom). Thanks!
