Can Furrion Chill Cube Replace Dometic Brisk II AC Unit

Updated 07/14/2025 | Published 05/07/2025

Question:

I have a 2020 Keystone Cougar 25RES with a Dometic Brisk II 15,000 btu a/c. My unit just recently died. Will this replace the unit I have and what all would I have to have to make it work? Reading the other questions, Im assuming it wont work with the InCommand controller it now has, but will the unit fit the same hole without modifications.

Hey Ernie, we can definitely help but the correct Furrion Chill Cube you would need is the part # FR69TD which comes with everything you'll need. It comes with a lower vent assembly as well as thermostat.

The Chill Cube setups are the quietest and coldest blowing options out there but they do require you use all of the Furrion components and you can't mix and match any other components from other brand setups. It would not work with the InCommand controller but it does come with it's own remote that also doubles as a remote thermostat as well.

One other question. Will this work with soft start system I already have or will it even need one? I couldn't see the specs for starting our running wattage. I occasionally use a small generator to run my camper for short weekend stints. It's a 4500 watt unit.

@ErnieP It doesn't need one as it has it's own soft start system built in. Basically it fires up all of the different components of the unit at different times so there isn't one big current draw that hits at same time. This also has a capacitor built into it so that helps with power draw as well.

Can I replace my original Brisk ducted AC with the Furrion chill cube air conditioner? If so, which model and do I need anything else?

@MichaelJ You can but you have to replace all of it as nothing from what you have now will be compatible with it. For a complete kit that includes everything you'd need you'd want the part # FR69TD.
