Weight Distribution Recommendation for a UVW 6,600 lb Trailer
Question:
I will be towing a camper, UVW 6600, with my Ram Truck. What size Weight Distribution Hitch should I use? 1,000 pound or 1200 pound? Thanks

Hey Thomas, thanks for reaching out!
It kind of depends on what the GVWR is for your trailer, as well as the tongue weight range of the weight distribution system (WDS). I'm guessing your 6,600 UVW trailer has something like an 8,000 lb GVWR, so if you shoot for a 10% - 15% tongue weight then we're looking at 800 lbs - 1,200 lbs so the 1,200 lb WDS would make more sense.
I recommend checking out the Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch # WS94RR which is still a bit of a newer system, but one of the best parts about this system is the built-in tongue weight scale so you can get the right tongue weight each time you load up.
Attached is a review video for you to check out. What are your initial thoughts on this hitch system?
