Question:

I have a 2024 gmc cab n chassis and want to install air bags. I intend to install an onboard compressor. Which product is the best value for me? Airlift or Firestone? Or easiest install? 4x4

Since you have the cab and chassis model of the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 you'll need to go with the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F56FV. There's isn't an Air Lift set for the cab and chassis models. These have a 7,500 lbs load leveling capacity that will support the rear end of your Sierra when you are on the road. All mounting brackets and hardware are included for installation.

I prefer the Firestone brand over Air Lift anyways. The main difference is bag construction although the bracket design is a bit different as well. They both use good air bags but the Firestone's are a bit more durable as they use a crimp rolled design as opposed to band clamps. You can actually let the Firestone air bags support the rear axle when the truck is hanging whereas you would have to disconnect the Air Lift air bags. I have attached a picture below that will show the inside of the bag.

For an onboard air compressor, Firestone Air Command Heavy Duty Air Compressor item # F56VV. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone.

If you have any additional questions feel free to throw them in the comment box below and I'll be happy to help you.

Thanks Jerred. Mostly using for 5th wheel and a truck camper. Is the single valve okay, or any reason to use the dual valve? Thanks

@Gary You're welcome! A dual path compressor like item # F96VV would allow you to adjust the air bags individually. If one side of your camper or trailer is off-balanced this would be a nice feature to have.
