Comparing The Yakima OnRamp And OnRamp LX

Question:
If the Yakima On-ramp LX-2 and LX-3 are the same except the LX-3 carries one more bike as in the numbering system “3”, why does it cost less? Are all the other specs the same?

Hi Mike,
There isn't currently a 3-bike version of the OnRamp, just the 2-bike # Y96FR and 2-bike LX # Y88DJ. The LX is a beefed up version designed for heavier and longer e-bikes. What kind of bikes and how many are you wanting to be able to haul around? Do they have fenders or step-thru frames? If you'd like to tell me more about any preferences you have I'd be happy to recommend a bike rack to fit your needs.
