Replacement For Grease Seal With 1.687" ID and 2.565" OD

Question:
I need a seal for my ez Loader boat trailer probably a 2000 lb axle, I measured 1.687ID x 2.565OD, and approx .5inch thick, I found a Rockwell American double lip seal 168255 TB that looks like it will fit, do you have a similar seal that would work?

Hi Jeff; with those measurements you can use the Double Lip Seal for 3,700-lb Marine Hubs # 168255TB. This is the same as the Rockwell American seal you found but it is made by Dexter. The inner diameter is the same and the outer diameter is 2.561". The difference is likely a slight variation in your measurement. Even if it is not, the 0.004" difference won't be a problem with fitment.

Hey Jeff, how did the Double Lip Seal end up fitting on your EZ Loader trailer axle? It sounds like the small diameter difference shouldn’t have caused any issues. Your feedback could help others checking seal sizes for similar trailers.
