Question:
I have a 2022 Ford Explorer ST with the factory tow package with both 4 and 7 pin sockets. Im thinking a redarc brake controller is what I want to purchase, just not sure which model I need. Thank you Kevin

Kevin, so the difference between the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty # RED96CR and the Tow Pro Elite # RED54CR (with the custom harness # RED87FR) is that the Tow Pro Elite has a user controlled mode for off-roading, can be used with 24v systems, will work with up to 3 axles, and includes the switch insert # 331-TPSI-001 with the universal harness.
Other than that, they are the same. So if you feel like you'll need any of the features listed for the Elite, then I'd go for that; but if you can live without them then the Liberty is the better choice.

Hey Kevin, how did things go with the Redarc brake controller for your Explorer? Did the Liberty end up giving you the control you wanted? Your feedback could really help others deciding between the Liberty and the Elite.
