Does the Draw-Tite Hitch 24978 Require Trimming to Install on a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta GLI?

Will i need to cut the bumper in order for the draw tite 24978 to fit the 2024 vw gli?

Yes, you will but it is a portion of the bumper/fascia that will only be seen if you're under your Jetta. I have attached a screenshot below of the section of the instructions for the Draw-Tite item # 24978 that shows exactly where to make the cuts and how large they are.

I have also linked the instructions below along with an installation video so you can see how to get this hitch set up on your 2024 Volkswagen Jetta GLI with dual exhaust.

Hi Jerred, the instructions for an install of the 24978 shows a single exhaust. My 2024 VW GLI has a dual exhaust! It may not fit. How can I be sure it would properly? Thanks, Bernd

@Bernd The Draw-Tite Hitch item # 24978 fits the dual exhaust models of the 2024 VW GLI. We've verified this with Draw-Tite. What are you needing a hitch for?
