Can I Use One of the 12V PWM Filters for a Four RV Backup Camera System?

Question:
Question regarding # VGR64VR for use with multiple cameras. I have the Furrion Vision S 3 camera system in my toy hauler camper. I added a camera inside so I have 4 total. They are all wired seperately to the running light circuit. It worked flawlessly with a 2018 RAM but I now have a 2023 GMC 2500 AT4 and have the commonly known issue. I researched the bulky Furrion FR87PR but the reviews say it is hit or miss if it will work consistantly and may throw error codes. The other, seemingly more reliable way is to hard-wire # VGR64VR into the camper wiring. The videos on your website show the adapter being wired directly behine a single rear-view camera. Do I need one # VGR64VR per camera, or can I install it up-stream in the running light wiring to power all 4 cameras?

Yes, you can! You will only need to install one of the 12V PWM Filters item # VGR64VR if you do it upstream before the circuit branches off to the separate cameras. You do not need one at each camera.

Could you provide some details on wiring it upstream? At the junction box where the 7way comes in I’ve identified the running lights wire before it branches off, and would splice the positive wire ends into that wire (green) but where would the negative wire ends of the filter splice into?

Does the filter affect anything else down stream from it? I would install it where the 7 way pigtail wires into the factory trailer wiring. All the LED running lights would be down stream of the filter as well.
