Question:
I experienced a problem with my front slippery stabilizer model 198641. They will move down using the motor assist but when trying to raise the will only come up manually and with some noisy resistance. I haven’t tried moving them with the motor removed yet. Could the problem be just the motor, or is that noise and resistance going up indicating problems with the other components?

Expert Reply:
If you're hearing a lot of noise then the gears inside of the motor are most likely worn or broken and not catching to allow the legs to retract. The motor can be replaced with part # LC138445. You could also have debris on the threaded rod that the legs move on causing the noise so I recommend checking to ensure it's clear and re-lubricate with some # RM-747 to prevent any debris from sticking to it again.
