How to Remove Old Ratchet Straps from A Saris Freedom Bike Rack

How an I suppose to take the old ones out of my bike rack. There must be a war to go about it.

I spoke with Saris, and in order to remove your old strap and install the new one # SA17158 you're going to need to press the button that releases the strap normally from it's other end and then with some force lift up on the strap to get the teeth up and out.
You're going to need to make sure the strap is straight before you try yanking it up because it won't work otherwise. I've attached an image showing how the straps should be before you try and lift them out.
