Is There An Add-On For The Yakima RidgeBack To Haul 5 Bikes

Question:

Is it possible to upgrade the yakima ridgeback 4 to 5 bikes in the future? Trying to determine which to buy when I only need 4 right now and the 4 is on sale. Thanks!

To my knowledge there is not an add-on available for any Yakima hanging racks, including the RidgeBack # Y02458, to increase it's capacity to 5 bikes. Yakima does however have the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack # Y02463, which can haul 5 bikes so it might be worth it to spend more now so that you're not spending twice as much in the future just to add on one more bike. If not, there are other solutions depending on your vehicle, like a roof rack mounted bike rack, that you could use to haul that extra bike on your vehicle.
