Hi is it possible to get a tow package for a 2013 Escape, so as to have 3500 lbs capacity?

Expert Reply:
We have a hitch for your 2013 Ford Escape that has a 3,500 lb towing capacity with the part # e98866. Then for trailer wiring you'd want the Tekonsha part # 118566.
Now when I looked up the towing capacity of your 2013 Ford Escape it looks to have between a 1,500 and 2,000 lb capacity so you would be limited to that regardless of what hitch you install. The reason our hitch has a higher capacity is it was designed to fit your vehicle but be as strong as possible and then it was independently weight rated.
