How to Use a Carbon Frame Bike on the Thule Hitching Post Bike Rack
Question:
Hello, I have a Thule bike rack TH934XTR and its about 6ish years old. I just bought a new white carbon fiber bike mistake #1, lol and noticed the cradles and sway attachment are scuffing up my new bike. Trying to figure out what to do to prevent the scuffing on a brand new $2k bike aside from dishing out $800 for a platform type bike rack. Would buying replacement craddles/sway attachment work, like the replacement hold fast cradle? If that wouldnt work can you direct me to the product # that would fit my model bike rack? Again my issue is trying to prevent black scuff marks that the craddle/sway attachment seems to be causing on my bike. Any information/ suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to replace your Thule Hitching Post item # TH934XTR. The best way to carry a carbon fiber framed bike is to use the Kuat Ubar Bike Frame Adapter Bar item # UB01. This will attach to the seat post and the steering stem to give you a horizontal attachment point for the rack.
I have linked a review video below so you can see how the Kuat adapter bar works.
