Question:
I am needing to replace my brake axle on my Big Tex trailer. I dont remember the trailer model number, but the direct replacement axle from you would be the Dexter # 35543E-ST-89. The brakes on my old axle are still in good order. Can I replace my axle with the Dexter # T3584F-8974 and add the brakes from my old axle to this one? If so, what other parts will I need if any to complete the installation?

I do not have the Dexter # 35543E-ST-89 or any information on it in my system. I could also not find anything on Dexter's website but if the axle on your Big Tex Trailer has an inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649 then your current hubs will fit with the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with Standard Spindles item # T3584F-8974.
This axle is 89" wide from hub face to hub face and has a 74" spring center. This is a 3,500 lbs axle.
If your current axle has different dimensions or a different spindle size then go ahead and email me the bearing sizes your current axle uses and your lug pattern and I will be happy to find you a better replacement.
