Recommended Replacement For A Carrier Air V RV Rooftop Air Conditioner Unit  

Question:

Hello. I have a carrier Air V,, how do I tell if I have a heat pump or not?,and what is a heat pump?, my controller for the air conditioner also controls my furnace, Im wanting to change it out as Im having issues with it, It is a ducted unit, its in a 2006 cameo carriage 5th wheel,,pics of controller, and numbers and info off the bottom portion of it,

If your thermostat has a heat setting it's typically for the heat pump, but you can quickly tell by looking at the connector of of the rooftop unit to the zone controller. If it's a 6-pin then it doesn't have a heat pump, but if it's a 9-pin then it most likely does have a heat pump.

If you have a 6-pin connector then I recommend the Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR58PR.

If you have a 9-pin connector then I recommend the Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR42PV.

These units will plug right back in to your controller so that you don't have to replace your entire system.
