What Are The A And B Wires For An Advent Air RV Air Conditioning System

Updated 07/29/2024 | Published 07/26/2024

Question:

Hello! I recently purchased an Advent ACCOL150 unit, and then had to purchase the ACRG15 as well to attach it to my RV. My question is, on the new thermostat (ACTH12P), there are "A" and "B" connections. On my old Coleman wiring (just the wiring remains, no other hardware) I had a "GH" and "GL". From what I can tell these are High and Low? Is that what the A and B is on the new Advent thermostat? I figured out my compressor and 12V wires, but not certain on the A and B. Thanks

Hey Rocky,

The A and B wires for the thermostat are just both labeled as "Data Communication". The relay (controller) # PXXACRG12RB for the # ACRG15 would have a blue 22AWG wire for A and purple 22AWG wire for B. If you're reusing the wiring from your old system so that you don't have to run new wires from the relay to the thermostat you'll just need to make sure the same wire is running from A on the relay to A on thermostat and the same for B.
