Replacement Tire For Log Splitter Trailer With 4.80-8, Load Range B Tires
Question:
Hello! I have a log splitter whose tires need to be replaced. What’s on it now are these: Sure Trail ST 4.80-8, load range B, 2 ply, max load 590 @ 60 cold psi. Would the AM10002 tires fit this? The rims are a bit odd - no bolts, they just attach on the axle so no bolt holes. Don’t know if that matters, but thought I should mention it. Obviously I’m no expert on this, so I thought I had better ask someone who knows these things what would work. Many thanks for your help!

Yes, you will be able to use the Kenda Loadstar K371 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80/4.00-8 - Load Range B # AM10002 on your log splitter trailer. It does not matter that your wheels slide onto the axles versus being bolted on. You only need to ensure that the wheel is 8" x 3-3/4" where the tire mounts, which you likely have since the tire is the same as your current size.
