Expert Reply:
For the 2013 Kia Forte Koup, Curt recommends their Circuit Protected Taillight Converter, part # C56175.
The # 118415 you referenced will only work with the sedan model, as the taillight assemblies differ between the sedan and koup model.
The C56175 is not a vehicle specific item and would require tapping directly into the taillight circuits of the vehicle. I have linked you to the installation details for the wiring harness. You would need to access the wiring harnesses feeding the taillight assemblies. Starting on the driver's side, activate the left turn signal and use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to probe the wires feeding the driver's side taillight assembly. Once you find the wire that makes the tester blink, tap the yellow converter input wire into it. Next, turn on the running lights and probe looking for the wire that shows current. When found, tap the brown converter input wire into it. Next, apply the brake pedal and probe looking for the hot wire. Tap the red wire into that circuit. You would then probe the wires on the passenger side looking for the right turn circuit. When found, tap the green wire into it. Then, ground the white wire to the vehicle.
