Question:

I have a 2020 Acura RDX. I am looking to purchase a bike rack that I can easily attach to my vehicle. I do not have a hitch. I’m trying to figure out which is the correct bike rack to fit my vehicle that would be easiest to mount, sturdy and a reasonable cost. I was looking at between the Yakima fullback or Thule Outway.

I have a great trunk bike rack choice for you! However, all Thule OutWay models like the platform style # TH65JV or the adjustable arms style # TH45JV do not fit your 2020 Acura RDX.

With that being said, the Yakima FullBack 2 # Y02634 and FullBack 3 # Y02633 definitely fit your vehicle. The FullBack comes with 4 cam-buckle straps with hooks that easily secure to your trunk. As far as weight capacity, it offers 35 pounds per bike. The anti-sway cradles are a nice touch that add sturdiness to the rack with bikes loaded. On top of all this, a huge advantage to this model is that it already comes with locks that protect both the bikes and the rack itself from theft.

If you plan to transport women's bikes, children's bikes, or bikes with step-thru frames, you need a bike frame adapter bar # 64005 for each of those bike styles. This adapter provides your bikes with a straight, horizontal plane that is required to mount your bikes to the arms of the FullBack.
