If your 2021 Ford Edge is an ST model, with the 2.7L Eco Boost engine it can be flat towed. Otherwise, it'll need to be trailered.
For base plates, I'd recommend the Blue Ox # BX2677 base plate kit along with a # BX7380 Blue Ox Alpha tow bar. The tow bar is non binding for easy unhooking and is self centering so you don't need to have the vehicle perfectly lined up behind the motorhome. Just hook up and pull away, and the tow bar will align itself automatically. Safety cables are included with the tow bar.
To wire the taillights, use the Roadmaster # RM-15247 diode kit. According to the owners manual, the negative battery terminal needs to be disconnected prior to towing the vehicle. An auto disconnect like the Roadmaster # RM-766 would allow you to disconnect the battery with the push of a button, instead of manually disconnecting the battery terminal every time you tow. You'll also need an # RM-9332 12-v outlet kit.
When the base plates are installed, they'll sit about 16-1/2 inches above the ground. If the height of the receiver on your motorhome has a greater than 3 inch height differences compared to the base plate height, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring it within that 3 inch range. I'll link to our selection of high/low adapters.
I've linked to some install videos that you might find helpful.
