Question:
I have a Solera elect awning. Controls on panel inside and also a remote. Will I be able to still use inside and remote controls after hook up of smart arm controls?

The Solera Smart Arm 12v Power RV Conversion Kit # LC759517 you were looking at can only be controlled via the included switch which will need to get installed on your RV, or by the buttons on the arm. You will not be able to re use your current remote.
This kit does give you quite a few upgrades over your current system by allowing you to add on a wind sensor # LC715123, infrared sensor # LC715124, and LED light kit # LC674282.
I included a few video reviews for you to take a look at.
