I reached out to Lippert, the manufacturer, about what will trigger the Solera Smart Arm Wind Sensor Kit # LC715123.

They told me that it is not actually a certain miles per hour of wind that will trigger the awning closing with this kit. The way it works is that the kit actually senses vibration in the Smart Arms this attaches to, and that is what the kit senses to know when to close the awning. It has three levels of sensitivity (or can be turned off) that detect different levels of vibration, and you can choose your setting. The kit works with the Solera Smart Arm, and there are conversion kits:
