Question:

Hello, I’m wondering which trailer hitch receiver would work on a 2018 Jeep JK wrangler Golden Eagle edition 2 door model. I’m looking for one to tow a typical U-haul smaller sized trailer. I’m asking because I’m not sure the shape of the Golden Eagle model is the same as the standard wrangler model. I would like the receiver that is flush with the bumper so it isn’t in the way when not in use. Do you have a suggestion for the trailer harness as well one that could mount on the receiver perhaps Thank you

I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR for your 2018 Jeep Wrangler Golden Eagle Edition. This receiver is designed to work with the Mopar off-road style rear bumper that is found on your Golden Eagle as well as Rubicon Editions. It will reuse the 4 bolts that help to secure the rear bumper on your Wrangler. It has the mounting tab welded on for your wiring harness as well. And with your rear bumper being longer it will cover the receiver tube so that it does not protrude out far from the bumper.

The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118416 will plug into your factory wiring. A Mounting Bracket # 18144 will secure the 4-way to the Draw-Tite receiver.
