PD52 RV Transfer Switch Wiring
Question:
I have a 5th wheel camper that we ordered with inch Generator Prep Packageinch . It already has a PD52 transfer switch installed, but does not yet have a generator. I would like to install a generator that only has 1 HOT lead. Can I just loop the 1 HOT lead to supply power to both HOT circuits feeding the transfer switch? Thanks

Regarding the Progressive Dynamics # PD52 Transfer Switch, you should follow the directions provided in the installation guide, provided in the link below, and available on the product description page. If you are not familiar with electrical circuits I would advise that you call upon a electrician or qualified RV Technician to assist you with any changes or additions.
The product pictures include the general wiring diagram and where the wires from shore power connect and where the generator power lines connect. This unit is designed to work with 120 volts or 240 volts AC. 120 volt service will only have one hot line. Do not "loop" or "jump" anything.
