Question:
Hi, I am looking at purchasing the etrailer hitch receiver for my 2015 Chevy Equinox. While I install this I plan on installing the wiring for a trailer. Is the 4 way or 5 way flat more common? Currently, I dont plan on towing anything too large/heavy, but want it set up for what is best. I have a Kuat transfer v2 2 which is my main use for the receiver. But I would like to add lights to the bike rack. What recommendations so you have? And would those lights be a 4 way connector? Thanks!

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98865 is a great option for a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. It will work great with bike racks, cargo carriers, or even for towing a trailer. It has a class III rating with 2" receiver tube opening. In regard to wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118494 which is a plug-in-play option that has a 4-way connector. The 4-way connector is the most popular option and what most trailers use.
In regards to adding lights to a bike rack, there are plenty of options but no real way to secure the lights so that part would be up to you. I recommend the LED Light Kit part # 98174LED.
