Question:

I have 2 lectric company Step Through ebikes. Can you suggest a platform carrier for the back of my F150 Truck. weight is about 60 lbs each. I dont want to break the bank. Can you advise?

I have a couple options for you with some different extra features.

The first is the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR. This is a super heavy duty bike rack with a 70 lbs per bike capacity. What's special about this one is how it is also rated for use on RVs and Motorhomes which are known for having extra road vibrations and stress on the bike rack.

The second option is the Swagman Current # S64678. This has a 60 lbs per bike capacity. Nice features are how it can accommodate fat tire bikes with up to 5" tire widths. It can also be tilted away with the bikes loaded if you want to lower your tail gate. Both will need to be used with frame adapter bars # SR0500 since your step through frame may be too low for the hook frame mounts.

Finally, a slightly more premium bike rack is the Yakima OnRamp # Y36FR. Like its name suggests, it comes with a ramp! You get a weight capacity of 65 lbs per bike which makes the ramp useful so that you can just roll your bike on and off the rack and not have to lift it. One thing to consider is that your truck's hitch may be higher off the ground, so a ramp is nice especially if you bike a lot. Also, since it has an adjustable clamp, you won't need an adapter bar with this bike rack! If I had to choose between the three, it would be the OnRamp # Y36FR just for that convenience.
