To add oil to the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 8,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Oil Bath
Item # 8-285-10UC3-A I recommend using 80w-90 gear oil. The 80w-90 gear oil is what we use on any of our new wet bath hub and drum assembly installs. Unlike greased bearings the wet bath oil doesn't have to be replaced it can just be added to what is there. Remove the rubber plug on the front of the cap and add the oil until it comes up line on the front of the cap. Once filled I recommend letting it sit and checking the fluid level after a couple hours just to make sure it hasn't gone down and add as necessary until the fluid level remains at that line.
