Updated 06/01/2020 | Published 05/28/2020 >
Question:
I have a 2005 Wesco boat trailer with a 2005 16 ft carolina skiff 1655 . I need to replace the hubs on a single axle trailer. The GAWR is 1560 lbs. What do you recommend?

In order to choose the correct replacement hubs for a trailer you'll need to know the axle capacity. The make and model of the trailer is usually irreverent as we don't have any way to look up part numbers from this. The axle capacity can be found on the axle tube itself. The smaller trailers with an axle capacity of 2,000 lbs use the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # AKIHUB-545-2-G-1K which has L44643 bearings.
I have attached a full list of trailer hub options which you will need to filter based on axle capacity if the above is not a match. Please note, you must also pay attention to the bolt pattern as well.
