To get power to the controller of your Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning part # LC759404, you need to tap into an existing circuit, or run a power wire from the battery with an inline fuse holder, and a 15 amp fuse, like part # SWC9538, and part # C58450-1.

The red "POWER" wire on the motor or awning head, attaches to the red power wire on the controller. The black wire is ground. The "EXT IN" and "RET IN" wires will route to inside where you have the switch mounted. The controller will time out and not have any power going to it after 5 minutes of idle time.

I've attached a wiring diagram and link to the manual for your reference.

Does a 12v solera support arm wire the same as a 18v solera support arm ?

@Doug The 18 volt awning arms are self powered and do not connect to your trailer wiring. This conversoin kit is typically used to convert manual awnings to power awnings. I have attached complete instructions for you to review.
