Do Set Screws of Swagman XTC Bike Rack Screw Through Endcaps on Rack Crossbeam

Question:
I am talking about the horizontal set screws. It seems like the screws won't go in because the end cap on the arms blocks the screw from going in. The end cap is not removable. Please provide some help. I really would like to start using the bike rack.

Are you talking about the screw that holds on the 2 inch hitch adapter or something different? Install assembly should only require screw install for the hitch adapter on the rack.
