Do Trailer Hitches Fit Multiple Years Of The Chevy Silverado

What years hitches will interchange with a 2013 chevy Silverado?

A lot of the trailer hitches available for the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado fit a span of over multiple years as long as the generation does not change. For example the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98849 fits 1999 - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

I would need to know if the 2013 chevy Silverado is a half-ton, three quarter or 1 ton. I would also need to know the bed size and if the truck is a cab chassis model in order to tell you which trailer hitches fit which years.

@DaveC There are a lot of different factors that effect fit here. Do you know exactly which hitch you have? Some of the hitches for the Silverado don't fit the SS models so that may be an issue if you have a SS model. Also, it would depend on if your truck has a deep drop bumper, tommy gate lift, or a roll pan bumper. If you have this information, I can help.

@Thomas I am not sure which hitch you a referring to but it is possible the hitch you have will fit a 2008 Chevy Silverado. If you let me know what year Silverado the hitch came off of or the part number of the hitch I can help you.

@Ron No, most hitches that are designed for a 2011 Chevy Silverado will not fit a GMC Yukon XL. If you need a hitch for a 2000 GMC Yukon XL, I recommend the Curt Class 4 trailer hitch part # 14080 for the new body style Yukon with amber turn signals. If you have the old Denali body style you will need part # C14029.

@Pete Unfortunately not, the 2012 GMC Sierra and 2019 are not the same generation. Most hitches that fit the 2019 will only fit back to a 2015. If you give me the exact part number of your hitch I can double check for you though.

@Juan Hey Juan! Your 2010 Chevy Tahoe hitch will not fit on the 2016 Chevy Suburban without heavy modification. The 2016 Suburbans came with a hidden in the bumper OEM hitch so there is not a custom fit aftermarket option available that I am aware of. If you would like to try a universal option, you can always have a welder fabricate something for you using a hitch like part # 41990-07.
