The plastic gear in the step is striped can you get just that replacement gear or so you have to repace the whole thing. Its a single step Kwikee 28

Small individual parts for an older Kwikee step motor like the one on your 1996 Coachmen are no longer available. For a Series 28 electric single step on a 1996 Coachman you'll need to upgrade the unit to current parts, according to my contact at Lippert.
If your step linkage is curved use kit Conversion/Upgrade Kit # LC379145. If the step linkage is straight then use kit # LC379769. Please compare the photos of these items to your unit to determine the correct upgrade kit.
