Battery Disconnect Switch for Forest River Surveyor During Storage
Question:
I just purchased a Forest River Surveyor equipped with this refrigerator using a voltage inverter. How do I install a master electrical switch to kill all the voltage in the trailer during storage. This unit uses 2ea 12 volt batteries to operate.

You have a couple of different options when it comes to disconnecting the power from your batteries when your Forest River Surveyor is in storage and they all just depend on your personal preference as to which one is best for you.
What you are likely referring to is something like the Epicord # 277-000096 which you rotate the key to the on and off position when you want to use the batteries for power.
If you are looking for something a little more secure though we also have the Bulldog # BDW20247 which features a removable key.
We also have the Deka Lead Quick-Disconnect Battery Terminal # DW05312 which is a little more straightforward as this is the same as physically disconnecting the power wire from the battery. Only this option makes it very quick and helps to keep the wiring in good shape.
Any of these options will be a great way to disconnect the batteries on your trailer so that your Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119 and other appliances don't drain them.
