Do I need to use a different gear than drive for towing in my 2017 Toyota 4runner TRD Off Road ?

Having your transmission in OD (overdrive) would be fine when towing a trailer with your 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD. If you were in a super hilly area and you noticed the transmission shifting up and down a lot it would be a smart idea just to leave it in D (drive) so that it wouldn't be shifting as much. Most normal towing situations where you are under the capacity of the vehicle wouldn't require that though. From what I found online though it looks like your vehicle has a 5,000 lb capacity.
