Straight Tongue Trailer Coupler for Harbor Freight Folding Trailer 90154
Question:
Bought a Harbor Freight Folding Trailer Model 90154. Love it, except the Hitch Coupler was held together by a hex nut, not a nyloc nut. Of course, it dumped all of its guts somewhere on the road. It is a 1 7/8inch hitch for a 2 1/2inch channel Class I. Purchased a new hitch from HFT, with a nyloc nut! but it does not fit. The bolt holes do not line up with the trailers holes. Could you recommend a coupler hitch that would fit am not comfortable filing the holes bigger, or a rebuild kit? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The only straight tongue trailer coupler we offer for a 1-7/8" hitch ball that fits a 2-1/2" wide channel is the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # CT-2002-Z. The bolt holes on this coupler are spaced 2-1/4" apart. Unfortunately, I don't have the specs on your trailer so you will need to measure the bolt hole spacing yourself and compare that to the above. We do not have a repair kit for the trailer coupler you have now.
