How Tight to Rear Bumper Does Curt Hitch # C15323 Fit on 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500HD
Published 11/01/2018 >
Question:
Looking to fit either the C15323 or the C15302 trailer hitch to a 2003 silverado 1500HD crew cab. I want the receiver to be as tight to the bumper as possible. Looking for the dimensions from the frame mounting ears to the top of the tub or plate welded on top of the tube on both hitches. It looks like the C15302 will just fit even though the C15323 is the generic fit per CURT. Im afraid the C15323 will be a couple inches below the bumper. The rough measurement of the truck gives about 2-3/4inch from bottom of frame to bottom of bumper. Will need to remove old hitch to get better measurements. Also is there a different offset in regards to the mounting holes and the tube location that might affect the mounting location besides height off the ground.

Of the Curt hitches that you mentioned only the # C15323 is a confirmed fit for your 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500HD. I attached a couple pictures that show exactly how tight this hitch will fit to the rear bumper of the truck as well.
