Question:
Are hood loops safe to use on a 2016 Honda CR-V. I think I read the anchor section must be encased in metal under the hood. I want to transport 2 10foot kayaks in J style racks on my CR-V. What is the best way to anchor the bow and stern? Thank you!

Expert Reply:
You can use the Malone QuickLash T-Style Hood Loops # MPG308 on your 2016 Honda CR-V. They do not need to be encased in metal, just make sure they are located as securely as possible. For bow/stern tie-down straps you can use the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # TH855XT.
