How to Secure a 2018 Harley Davidson Tri Glide to a Trailer

Question:

I own a 2018 HD TriGlide. I see that you stated the MC2301 will fit 2016 and older but not new TriGlides. is there a different one that will fit my 2018?

In order to secure your 2018 Harley Davidson Tri Glide I recommend using the Tow-Rax Wheel Chock part # TWSPWM for the front wheel so long as it is not greater than 6-1/2" wide. Then in order to secure the two rear wheels I recommend using an e-track system which is composed of the Erickson Horizontal E-Track part # EM19147 and the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net with E-Track Fittings part # 77314. You can also add the Erickson E-Chock Wheel Chocks part # EM09162-2 for even more security but it is not a requirement. I have attached a photo of this setup for you as well.

Unfortunately, the B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers part # BWMC2301 will not work with the 2018 Tri Glides because of the location for the emergency parking brake cable.

Hi Conner, I like your advice. I also have a 2022 Harley Tri-Glide and want to put it into a 7X16 cargo trailer like your photo shows. I'm a little concerned about how far forward I need to put the Tow-Rax chock. The bile is 1200 lbs. Any suggestions? Thank you. Rocky

@RockyF Unless you plan on carrying other heavy gear in your trailer, I recommend installing the Tow-Rax Removable Wheel Chock w/ Wood Screws item # TWSPWM as far forward as you can in the trailer. This will help prevent any potential sway that can occur from not having enough tongue weight on a trailer. If you're transporting other heavy things then I'd leave space in front of the chock so you can spread those items out evenly. If you have any additional questions go ahead and throw them in the comment box below.
