Question:

Looking to purchase the Thule AeroBlade Edge TH7603B/THKIT4023. The main use will be transport 1 - 2 SUPs about 15 miles one way on suburban and semi-urban roads but also occasional longer distances on highways. So I was also looking to get a SUP carrier and again like a locking feature which leaves the Thule TH810XT. I like the concept of the Thule One-Key Lock System TH450400 too but more $$ to get going. Since the price point of whats in my cart is a wee bit or more over what I wanted to spend I was going to start with the racks add the TAXI and then the Cylinders. To fully integrate the One-Key I would need 12 cylinders correct? I only see 4 and 8 listed.....Thanks in advance for information

The Thule Roof Rack you are seeking has been discontinued for your vehicle. Instead I recommend the Thule rack which consists of parts # TH711120, # TH710601 and # TH186007 for your 2017 BMW X3 with flush mounted rails. You will need 4 lock cores like the part # TH450400 that you referenced to secure the rack to your vehicle.

Since the Thule SUP Taxi XT # TH810001 uses 4 locks cores you actually only need 8 lock cores to get everything keyed alike. This can be found with part # TH450800.

If you have other Thule products with lock cores already installed then it would be easier to just order the same lock cores and use the Universal Change Key # 853-1251 to remove and replace your lock cores. You can determine what lock cores you already have by looking at the number that is stamped on the face of the core. For example, for a lock core with the part N022 stamped on it you would need the core part # THLOCKN022.
