Powered 3 Step Solution for 1997 Terry 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:
I have an old 1997 terry 5th wheel, door opening of 28.25inch but clearance from threshhold to ground is only 27.5. Looking to replace pull out stepsbroken weld and bolts bigger than factory wont hold in wood. The fold in Solid Step, 3-steps, ground connection looks really good#LC678041 would be perfect but would not stay up in doorway during transportation. I can live with the 4inch on each side. The Solid Stepfoot model that fits my doorway has 4 steps and a minimum threshhold clearance is too big causing unlevel steps during use. Anyway I could modify 3 step model to stay put in doorway during transport besides earsfoot on doorway frame to catch bolts? Note, the Mrs. loves to wide first step when we viewed at a recent RV show and would like to add to ours as well!

Since your door width does not match what the 3-step SolidStep is designed to fit the best solution is the Lippert Components Kwikee 25 Series Triple Electric Step # LC3658373 which is a powered 3 step that will power out when the door is open and power in when closed. It has the widest first step too at 24 inches as well.
