There should be a factory brake controller plug on your 2015 Ford F-150, whether it came with a 4-Way or 7-Way connector at the back of the truck. The plug will be located beneath the dash inside your cab. You may need to remove some shroud around the steering wheel compartment to access the plug. I have attached an installation video on the 2016 Ford F-150 that you can take a look at. The process should be very similar for your 2015 model.
The correct plug-in adapter for your Ford F-150 is the part # 22292. One end will plug into the brake controller itself and the other end will connect to the built-in port on your truck. For the brake controller itself, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This is an excellent, proportional controller that will activate the brakes on your trailer at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your truck. It features an easy to read digital display along with continuous diagnostics that will alert you to any potential issues.
I have included the written installation and operating instructions for this controller that you can also check out.

I have a 2015 F-150 xlt I bought aftermarket brake controller with the plug in harness, I went to install but there was no plug in for it. I thought it was behind the little box where the factory controller goes. I have a plug under the steering wheel is that looks like it but something is already plug in ? . Any suggestions. Tony
