Recommended Vent Fan for Truck Cap to Allow Ventilation for Dogs
Question:
I would be installing this fan in a fiberglass truck cap for ventilation for dogs. Will the remote work from inside the cab of the truck? Is it ok to drive highway speeds with the vent open?

The MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus - Smoke # MA00-04500K will work on your fiberglass truck cap, but highway speeds will not allow it to stay open. The remote will work fine from inside you truck cab.
If you want to be able to drive the highway speeds, I recommend the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke # MA00-07500K. This will keep your dogs safe as long as you have the 12V power on even when you are away from your vehicle. This will prevent rain from effecting function and will allow air to circulate while your truck remains locked and secure.
You may also want to consider # MA00-06200K which can have a remote # MA00A01150K added.
