Troubleshooting SurePull Digitrac Brake Controller

Question:
It used to have the C for correct wiring and now in the upper left corner it is a backward little c , and I cant get it to stay at 3.7 it is very erratic , its Like I have either to much brake or not enough, any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately I can't look up the manual for your unit as it is a part we don't carry to see what that error message is. I can tell you the C you were seeing before in most cases simply meant the trailer was connected. The symptoms you are describing with not enough and then too much brake makes me think that you either have a short in your brake output wire (normally blue wire) to your trailer connection or the unit itself is failing. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test that brake output wire about 6 inches back from the unit and then again at the trailer connection behind your vehicle when using the manual override feature on the controller. This will help you determine if the controller is bad or if the brake output wire needs to be replaced.
